La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning, focuses on the Elliott fund, owners of AC Milan. The entry into the world of football was expected in a soft way, as Ivan Gazidis explained several times, however things changed quickly. After a couple of seasons, Milan are first in the standings, convinced that they can play all the way in the league and in the Europa League. The Rossoneri strengthened in the winter transfer market, reflecting how the goal of the property is to win immediately, as well as, obviously, to make the club’s financials sustainable.
Elliott has no intention of selling Milan for the moment. Gordon Singer, Paul’s son, loves football and is in constant contact with CEO Gazidis. The latter is doing a great job, with AC Milan that can be considered the most virtuous club among the big names in the salary rankings both in Italy and above all in Europe.
The results of this management are still there for all to see. The 18 points more than the previous season and the value of the players that has grown in a few months from 466 million euros to 496 million euros. All with a low salary compared to other top Italian and European clubs. The credit for the growth in the team’s value obviously goes to Stefano Pioli, who seemed to be just a ferryman. The coach will probably stay with the Rossoneri for a long time, as will the Elliott fund, which does not want a passing property.
The possible sale of AC Milan will come only when the fund has eliminated the losses and has built the new stadium together with Inter. At the moment the plant project is blocked due to the coronavirus situation and municipal elections. We will see what happens in the next few months, but Elliott wants to continue to impress
