According to CalcioMercato, Lazio are looking to make a push for Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini. Lazio has rotated keepers Pepe Reina and Thomas Strakosha throughout the season, without too much promise from either profile. They are expected to look for a keeper of the future during the summer transfer window.
Gollini has found his form at the end of the season now, but Gasperini was not too convinced with his Italian keeper the whole season, and demoted him to deputy for a few weeks. Gollini regained his spot, but many suggest that the relationship has evaporated and will not last in to next season.
There are many clubs in the Serie A that could be in need of a new goalkeeper next season. Roma, Inter, Juventus, and maybe even Milan. In the event of a Gigio Donnarumma departure, Milan will be in the market for a starting keeper. They have recently engaged in serious discussions with French goalkeeper Mike Maignan, but the Rossoneri will not sell themselves short in terms of filling their target list. The 25-year-old Gollini could be available this summer transfer window, and Milan will monitor the situation if they are still in need of a number 1.
