The official announcement came today. Hakan Calhanoglu will stay in Milan, but he will play for Inter.
Maldini and Massara are working hard to find a replacement for the Turkish player. He won't be Mattia Zaccagni. Despite the many rumours Milan would like a player other than the Verona midfielder. Zaccagni does not have Calhanoglu's characteristics, and according to MilanReports, the club would like an international player with more experience. The latest idea is that of James Rodriguez.
His agent Mendes has proposed him to several clubs because the player does not want to stay at Everton. The English club will not play in the Europa League or the Champions League next year and James had only agreed to move to England because of Carlo Ancelotti.
Rodriguez only has one year left running in his contract and his pricetag is low. Everton could ask for around 15-20 million euros. The player's will is clear, he wants to play in the Champions League.
If AC Milan decide to start negotiations, the deal could be completed soon.
