AC Milan directors Ricky Massara and Paolo Maldini seem keen on bringing an addition to the defensive area of the team of Stefano Pioli. The aim is to sign a new centre-back especially since it seems that Alessio Romagnoli is set to leave on a Bosman with Lazio and a new club registering interest in him. The club directors want to add more quality in order to compete in the Champions League competition and go deeper in it.

According to what is reported by the daily Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, AC Milan are keeping an eye on Gleison Bremer of Torino as a candidate to reinforce the defence. But, there is important competition from two clubs.
In fact, city rivals Inter and Premier League club Tottenham coached by Antonio Conte are also keen. The party that is now in the lead, though, is Inter as they have secured the 'ok' from the central defender. As for Milan, they are still dealing with Lille and Sven Botman without success so far. If a deal does not go through, they can shift their attention to this trail.
Tottenham are keeping an eye on Inter's Bastoni (Inter want to keep him) but they have also made moves for Bremer. Therefore, an auction may be opened to see who can land the 25-year-old centre-back.
