Mike Maignan continues to deliver important performances this season and once again last night, he managed to help his teammates keep a clean sheet and get three full points against Sassuolo.
According to what is reported Tuttosport, Maignan is too important for Stefano Pioli and the management. They do wish to renew his contract (which expires in June 2026). However, there is a new obstacle now. According to the source, the abolition of the Growth Decree, which allowed Italian clubs favourable taxation in some cases, Maignan being one of them, will also impact the transfer strategies of clubs in our country, including Milan.
The Rossoneri, however, will do everything possible to find a solution with the French goalkeeper. It won't be easy, considering that Mike Maignan's salary (if even partially meeting his requests) would become too high with the new contract. But an attempt to reach an agreement will be made anyway.
