Once again, Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, has spoken about the renovation of the San Siro stadium, which hosts the matches of AC Milan and Inter.
The mayor has also spoken about WeBuild, who are tasked with working on the stadium with the two clubs evaluating the situation carefully.
"The scenario is clear: give WeBuild three months to produce a realistic plan. If it's possible, because I don't take it for granted. I hope that WeBuild puts us in a position to be able to tell Inter and Milan that the work can be done without having to go play elsewhere."
"At that point, as I hope to do, in June the ball will be back in the teams' court. I believe that after much reflection, and after years of discussion, a well-done restyling of San Siro is the best thing."
Sala added:
"Work in the summer? We need to understand how much time it will take, whether two or three years. The work will be in the summer, but I believe not only. The next meeting will be between the teams and WeBuild, so it will be clarified, also because WeBuild doesn't invent the stadium project. It will have to listen to the needs of the two teams."
