Today's edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport interviewed Bayer Leverkusen's CEO, Fernando Carro, to talk about tonight's match:
"For me, the game is 50-50. In 2019, we tried to sign Theo Hernandez, and we came close. As for the derby, I respect both teams, but I have a slight preference for Milan. I still remember the 4-0 against Barça in 1994; I was devastated."
Carro continued:
"Xabi Alonso convinced us with his personality: he's very intelligent. For Simon Rolfes, our sporting director, the way Xabi sees football was more important. I hope this isn't his last year with us, but the season has just started."
