No time to celebrate the top spot for Milan. The focus now shifts to preparing for Friday night’s match against Pisa, coached by former Rossoneri striker Alberto Gilardino. It is a tricky game that must not be underestimated. Massimiliano Allegri’s team is now tasked with defending first place and trying to extend their lead in Serie A.

For the eighth matchday, Allegri hopes to recover some key players to strengthen his lineup. Speaking to DAZN, the coach from Livorno explained who might return for the next game:
"Starting tomorrow we need to recover as much energy as possible. On Friday we’re back here again and we hope to get Loftus and Nkunku back. If we stay as we are, we’ll still play our best. We must play with enthusiasm but keep our feet on the ground because the season is still long."
Who could return in Milan's squad?
The focus is on the English midfielder and the French forward. Both former Chelsea players are working to overcome their injuries.
In fact, Ruben Loftus-Cheek is recovering from muscle fatigue and should rejoin group training in the coming days, while Christopher Nkunku picked up a knock on international duty and still has minor ankle discomfort.
There is optimism about their return, while Pervis Estupiñán's condition is being monitored. Christian Pulisic and Adrien Rabiot, however, are unlikely to recover in time, as their return is expected only after the next international break.
