Santiago Gimenez’s future seems increasingly far from Milan and AC Milan. The Mexican centre-forward is coming off a disappointing season with 0 league goals, made even more difficult by a long injury that kept him sidelined from the end of October until March. There is interest in him from the Premier League.
Tottenham interested in Gimenez:
After securing survival on the final matchday, Tottenham, managed by Roberto De Zerbi, are reportedly targeting the former Feyenoord striker. The report comes from the Mexican outlet TUDN. The transfer could take shape after the World Cup, where the forward is expected to play a leading role for Mexico.
Gimenez made 18 appearances during the season, 12 of them as a starter, scoring only once in the Coppa Italia. He missed 21 matches due to an ankle injury and the subsequent surgery. After returning, he initially did not play much, while in the final matches Allegri decided to rely on him more consistently, without getting results, as relayed via Milan Press.
