Rafael Leao is saying goodbye to Milan, and he is doing it very badly. In just a few days he has sent out several signals: first he said he had given everything for the Rossoneri in an unauthorised interview with a club and that he wanted to take on a new challenge in another league, then he admitted that a move to the Premier League would make him happy. He also said he played much of the season with pubalgia problems and in an unsuitable position, putting himself at odds with Massimiliano Allegri and his management.

And then there was that negative incident on the pitch: during Portugal–Chile he was sent off after a brawl with Ivan Roman, showing his nervousness even in a friendly match. His national team coach, Roberto Martínez, is also in clear disagreement with the now former Milan number 10. Tuttosport therefore highlights how the club will struggle to sell him at the hoped-for figures.
Leao ended the season poorly, without scoring after his goal on 1 March against Cremonese.
Amid tensions in the dressing room and behaviour not appreciated by Gerry Cardinale himself, Milan have decided to put him on the transfer market. The club knows it will not receive that 175 million release clause set at his peak. In football, every event matters, and even statements against the club may have reduced his market value. Who would ever spend so much on an undesirable character?
Whereas in the past figures close to 100 million euros were mentioned, today the valuation appears much lower, with possible offers between 35 and 50 million. Leao, however, dreams of a move to England or Spain and the next World Cup could represent a decisive showcase for his future. At Casa Milan there is hope for this, writes Milan Press.
