Adrien Rabiot was one of the most talked-about players in the Milan squad over the summer. Partly because many had speculated that he was interested in following his mentor Massimiliano Allegri to Napoli, and partly because he returned late from holiday alongside his teammate and friend Mike Maignan.
All of that was wiped away within a few minutes in Turin, during the opening matchday of the league season: an assist and a goal, and it was back to normal. In fact, things are even better than before, with the Frenchman speaking about his desire to remain at the club and Amorim expressing the club’s desire to extend their relationship.
La Gazzetta dello Sport dedicated an entire piece this morning to Adrien Rabiot, seeking to capture his new life under Ruben Amorim. The Italian newspaper’s headline reads:
"The new Rabiot."
"Adrien is more decisive closer to goal, and this is how Milan score."
Gazzetta then highlights: "All four of Milan’s goals (one scored by him) have come with the Frenchman on the pitch. On Sunday, he returns to the starting XI against Juventus."
Meanwhile, Milan have already opened talks over renewing his contract.
