AC Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara have been working for months for the signing of Renato Sanches. He has been a target for the midfield reinforcement. But, a deal is not so easy to make as, reportedly, Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing him.
According to what is reported by Italy-based website Calciomercato.com, Milan have remained calm despite the maneuvres of Jorge Mendes who has changed the requests of the contract terms several times already by now.
For Milan's part, Renato Sanches is seen as an ideal player who can replace Franck Kessié who just joined FC Barcelona. They are very keen on finding an agreement with Lille for the player. In fact, in the last few weeks, a new attempt is launched by Maldini and Massara to strike a deal with Lille on new economic terms: 10 million euros transfer fee plus a set series of bonuses linked to team performance and achievements.
The agreement with the French club has, in principle, been found and now the next step for Maldini and Massara will be to seek a deal with the super agent Jorge Mendes, especially on the commission fees. In this sense, the request is high, but AC Milan continue to have faith and confidence to land the signature and arrival of Renato Sanches. The goal is to bring the strong Portuguese midfielder to Milanello as early asnext week.
