AC Milan's transfer market plans are being planned in the offices of Geoffrey Moncada and his colleagues. There are many scenarios to be studied, especially for the attacking department between January and the summer in 2024.
One of the matters which will be handled is Olivier Giroud's renewal. In an interview with Le JDD (read here), he made it clear that he wants to continue his adventure with Milan, stating the following:
"For now, I'd like to. I'm at the end of my contract and I haven't discussed anything with the club yet, contrary to what has been reported in the media. I want to continue, and I believe I have what it takes."
It should be noted, however, that the 37-year-old Frenchman is not enough for Milan who aim to be competitive in every competition.
In fact, as reported by calcioline.com, the Rossoneri are on the trail of Antoine Griezmann to reinforce the attack.
The player's contract with Atlético Madrid, Los Colchoneros, will expire on June 30, 2026. As per the report, AC Milan want to try to sign him, even if Atlético Madrid do not seem interested in losing his services.
A top-level forward (169 goals in 357 matches so far with Atlético), Griezmann already has a good understanding with Giroud in Didier Deschamps' national team, so perhaps a move can be done in the near future? We'll have to wait and see.
The 32-year-old player has scored 12 goals and made 1 assist so far with his team after 16 matches between La Liga and Champions League competitions.
