As explained by Il Corriere dello Sport newspaper, AC Milan have two summer dreams for the attack: Jonathan David, the 24-year-old Canadian striker of Lille, and the 22-year-old Dutchman of Bologna, Joshua Zirkzee.
The Dutch player has a release clause of 40 million euros and a complex relationship with Bayern Munich in terms of clauses. However, the Rossoneri could use Alexis Saelemaekers as leverage: the Belgian, currently under Thiago Motta's guidance, could be included in the agreement to reduce the financial spending in this deal.
Until a few weeks ago, it was thought that Milan could make a significant investment in the attack in this winter transfer window. However, with Luka Jovic's growth in December, the Rossoneri has decided to change its strategy and postpone the major offensive investment until the summer.
