In view of the upcoming summer transfer market, there is always much talk at AC Milan about the attack and in particular about the significant investment that the club plans to make for the center-forward position. But in the plans of the Rossoneri, there is also the idea of doing something in defence, where there will be departures.
In fact, as per La Gazzetta dello Sport in this morning's print edition, with Pierre Kalulu having been sidelined for four months between late October and February, then injured once again in the match against Hellas Verona as he will have to be out for at least a month and a half, Milan may be willing to let him go if a good offer arrives and will seek a replacement in the market. In addition to that, Simon Kjaer should be leaving the club as his contract, which runs out this summer, is unlikely to be renewed.
The defenders who will be part of the Milan squad for the next season are: Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw, and Fikayo Tomori, with the latter potentially leaving only if a truly irresistible offer were to arrive at Casa Milan.
Obviously, there will also be some new arrivals: among the targets are, for example, 24-year-old centre-back of Chelsea Trevoh Chalobah, who is valued at a fee from 10 to 15 million euros, and 24-year-old former Spezia talent Jakub Kiwior who currently plies his trade for Mikel Arteta's Arsenal.
