After the failed negotiation for Joshua Zirkzee, the Milan management decisively moved for the signing of Alvaro Morata and closed the deal within a week.
As reported yesterday and confirmed this morning by Gazzetta dello Sport, Morata called Atletico's higher-ups yesterday and announced his intention to transfer to Milan. The La Liga side could only acknowledge the payment of the 13.5 million euros release clause that will come from the Rossoneri.
The negotiation was facilitated by FIFA agent Giuseppe Bozzo, and in the coming hours, it is possible that Giorgio Furlani will meet with the Spanish executives: both as a matter of courtesy and to explore the possibility of an installment payment, which nonetheless appears complicated.
In all this, barring any upheavals, Morata will undergo medical exams for Milan directly in Madrid tomorrow. Then, the future number 9 of the Rossoneri will go on vacation with his family.
