During the usual video update on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto gave an update on Amorim's AC Milan's incoming transfer business, also commenting on the rumours circulating in recent hours involving Mason Mount and others:
"Mount? There's nothing to it. As far as I'm aware, he's not a name on Milan's shortlist. I can reiterate that Milan, based on the information we're working on, are currently 100% focused on signing a centre-back. They want a top-level defender to complete that department."
"As things stand, Mount's name is not on Milan's list. Yes, there's been a lot of talk about the midfielder and the possibility that Milan could sign a midfielder, but the timeline is a bit longer than people think because there is a lot of congestion in that area of the squad, with players returning, others to be assessed, and decisions still to be made."
"We'll have a clearer picture regarding the midfield in due course, but as of today I can tell you that Mount is not part of Milan's shortlist."
