When Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara were in charge, Marko Arnautovic was reportedly linked with a move to the AC Milan club for this summer. However, after the exits of the two Rossoneri executives, the club may be heading towards a different direction and logic in the transfer market, as explained yesterday.
Speaking about the Austrian player's situation and links with a move to Pioli's team, Bologna's technical area director Giovanni Sartori spoke to ETV. Here are his words:
"We will see along the way if there will still be a chance to keep Arnautovic. There was the possibility of Milan, but with the change in management, things may have changed. If he were to stay, we hope he can give Bologna all the help he is capable of. Arnautovic has been out for several months due to injury, it was necessary to keep him out because it did not allow him to play."
The 34-year-old centre-forward, formerly of Inter, Stoke City, and West Ham, has scored 10 goals and made 1 assist after 21 league appearances this season.
