According to this morning’s edition of Corriere dello Sport, major manoeuvres are reportedly underway at Casa Milan: CEO Giorgio Furlani is said to be doing everything possible to try to appoint Tony D’Amico as sporting director in place of Igli Tare. But that is not all, as the Roman newspaper writes: “It would be another change at the top, a shake-up that would not only concern the management but also the technical leadership.
Because with the potential arrival of D’Amico, Milan would move to target Vincenzo Italiano in place of Massimiliano Allegri. The Italian coach, despite having a contract until 2027, which would automatically be extended until 2028 in the event of Champions League qualification, could become an option for the Italian national team.
After two years at Bologna, Italiano is not certain to stay and would gladly consider a move to Milan. In short, the Rossoneri are preparing to experience yet another summer of revolution.
